In conjunction with their success in developing on-line solutions to HR professionals, such as Performance Reviews and 360 Degree Feedback systems, Bowland Solutions have recently partnered with the Indianapolis based company, Compendium, to create a new web-based application that makes blogging easy for individuals and organisations.
Blogging is among the most rapidly adopted technologies in history, with millions of blogs currently in existence and hundreds of thousands of new blogs created every day. To date, the majority of blogging platforms have been geared toward the tech-savvy, which Compendium sees as the perfect opportunity to present the market with user-friendly tools.
Compendium Software’s breakthrough solution will simplify what many consider to be a very complicated process of not only creating a blog, but using it to drive online traffic, acquire customers and generate revenue. .
Working with Bowland Solutions, who are developing the heart of the software, database marketing expert Chris Baggott of Compendium, recognised a dissatisfaction with current blog software offerings.
“While millions of organizations around the world now turn to email in order to support their online initiatives, blogs have reached the same crossroads that email reached less than a decade ago. Companies know they should be utilising blogs, but many are uncertain of the best way to start one, let alone grow and develop it into a viable business tool,” said Baggott. “With Compendium Software, I want to encourage more companies and individuals to reap the benefits from blogging by using our software’s simple tools, easy site navigation, clean design and everyday language.”
Compendium Software expects to release the alpha version of its product in late spring 2007.
Brendan Walsh, Managing Director of Bowland Solutions, adds, “This alliance allows us to sharpen our IT skills and ensure that we retain our unique balance of HR expertise and cutting edge technology skills. Bowland are looking to work with Compendium over a long period of time and play an active part in their success. We see blogging as having wide applications across Bowland.”
Compendium was found by Chris Baggott and Ali Sales. Baggott is the co-founder of Indianapolis-based ExactTarget, an email communications and marketing firm. Sales is the former director of online marketing for Indianapolis-based people-powered search engine ChaCha.
