JCB enjoy over 90% completion rate from 945 staff in one month with on-line Performance Review system by Bowland Solutions.

At their World Headquarters in Rocester, Human Resources within JCB have successfully implemented an on-line performance review process which had to provide 360 degree feedback on 945 staff, totalling over 6500 respondents.

Within one month of distributing the questionnaires, HR saw an improved return of completed forms, but most importantly experienced a smooth implementation and a process which ran with little overhead on the HR function.

Following a thorough analysis of their existing processes, Bowland Solutions provided an on-line system which used JCB's existing competency frameworks, questions and report formats. It also integrated with their on-line CV application, within which employees complete their CV before an automated workflow alert prompts them to then complete their appraisals. A centralised reporting process enables managers at JCB to analyse and review trends across departments.

Paul Pritchard, Head of Learning & Development notes, "The 360 degree process integrates seamlessly with the online CV system and our competency framework.(so) we are now able to offer an 'employee-driven' process to over 1,000 staff and yet remain in control."
