The MCPS-PRS Alliance, home to the world's best music writers, composers and publishers, have enlisted the help of Bowland Solutions to re-design, administer and interpret the results of a new ‘Organisational Performance Survey’ to replace their existing ‘Employee Opinion Survey’ (EOS)
After several years of running the EOS within the organisation, a diminishing response rate and the desire to make full use of the invaluable feedback that staff can offer, prompted the Alliance to ask Bowland Solutions how they could improve the process.
Starting again from first principles, Bowland re-assessed what the true purpose of the survey should be and designed a new set of questions that would provide a set of actionable results.
The survey looked to find out what factors were helping or hindering the organisation to be able to perform to the best of its ability.
John Rice, Sales & Marketing Director of Bowland Solutions, adds, “We wanted to create a survey that examined both the level of engagement of staff within the business but also the extent to which the Alliance itself enabled their staff to perform to the best of their ability; these twin factors will link directly into how well the Alliance is performing and can be measured year-on-year.”
The MCPS-PRS Alliance is a not-for-profit making membership organisation that was formed in 1997 between two royalty collection societies (MCPS and PRS). It exists to collect and pay royalties to its members when their music is recorded and made available to the public (MCPS); and when their music is performed, broadcast or otherwise made publicly available (PRS).
Bowland Solutions has been providing tailored on-line Performance Reviews, 360 Degree Feedback, Surveys and HR consultancy since 2001. Its directors have extensive experience within Learning & Development, IT and Performance Management, offering clients practical advice and robust system solutions.
