Virgin Retail expand the use of their on-line 360 Degree Feedback system with the help of Bowland Solutions.

Following the successful introduction of an on-line 360 Degree Feedback within Virgin Retail head office, Bowland Solutions are now working to implement a complete Performance Review system across all of their stores nationwide.

Senior managers will soon be able to assess store managers and other staff against a competency matrix as part of their performance appraisal. The competency matrix defines the expected behaviours across all levels, roles and grades across the business, which will enable an objective evaluation of staff to aid their career development.

The current paper-based forms will be migrated on-line, so that the whole performance review process can be administered more effectively and efficiently from head office.

A series of reports will show individual & aggregated results, so that management can quickly and easily see at what level everyone is performing, what their specific learning & development needs might be, and what their career aspirations are.

This ability to view performance data across all stores will support succession planning and talent management initiatives, as both management and staff can see relevant career opportunities and likely candidates.
